Talk:Class
I'm thinking that, probably out of common sense each class should be handled like Class:Blade_Dancer instead of just leaving them how they are at the moment.
Because souls are part of a class, I think it would be good to have some sort of short summary of what souls are and then segue over to the Souls page. Thinking just a new section on the page called Souls with the summary and a link to the souls page. -IG

[edit] Current status
I've amended this basically to reflect page 28 of the instruction manual which talks about "Party responsibilities". Although this isn't strictly the same as a "class", I started editing all the "Class" links to redirect them to souls, but in the context it was being used (i.e. see Tank) it made more sense to change what was written on this page instead. What was originally being referred to on this page as a class is covered by the Souls page. Am sure this can be cleared up better than I have attempted but its a start. Apologies for the poor table! [edit] I agree
Yes the current way needs to be redone somehow. I just want some official information released so we have an idea of the exact wording of everything. For example, the archetypes (Mage, cleric, warrior, rogue) used to be known as 'Core Classes' when the game was Heroes of Telara. And, of course, the souls were known as subclasses. As far as I can tell we've seen no official word on either of these?
Do any other games have a similar system? If so we can peer at their wiki and see what was done to cover the unique class system there (Didn't some FF version have 'job' or something?). --Ciovala Talk 09:12, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Branch Progression Tables
I was mulling things over in my head last night while looking at the tables that we have in place for the classes that we have information on and thought I'd throw this out there to see what people thought of it. The first thing that came to mind was to change the "Ranks" information slightly, changing "0/5" to "5", for example. Also, instead of having a column for "Points" in the branch progression tables, what about breaking each tier up with a merged cell providing the details that were in the "Points" column originaly. Something like this (taken from the Warlock table):
| Name | Ranks | Mana | Range | Type | Description | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crushing Darkness | 5 | Void Bolt has a 2% chance to stun the target for 3 seconds. | ||||
| Magical Affinity | 5 | Increases the Charge your spells generate by 5%. | ||||
| Tier 2 (Requires 5 points spent in Warlock) | ||||||
| Dark Fury | 1 | 14 | 25 | Instant | Strikes the enemy with dark energies, causing 12 to 14 Death damage and stunning them for 1 second. | |
| Improved Dark Fury | 3 | Increases the duration of Dark Fury's stun by 1 second. | ||||
The colour is just something I pulled out of the air for the example. We could also center the data for everything aside from the Description and adjust column widths as needed. Anyway, just wanted to see what other people thought. Goremarr 15:36, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
[edit] What is ok to add here
I revereted the necromancer edit until we get more than one person saying this or we get a name from the dev who said it is in.--Ciovala Talk 17:11, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Classes & Souls
I think that this article should be merged with the Souls article, and if someone search for "Class" etc. they should be redirected to the souls article. Rewision 17:45, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
