[edit] Needs major updating

I've uploaded some images from beta, but a lot of the commentary is out of date and/or incorrect now... --Ciovala Talk 00:08, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

[edit] float clear

Lots of pages here use <br/>, while regular paragraphs (just an empty line in wiki code) should be used instead. Using multiple line breaks to extend a sections space to fit the image (and prevent the next section heading from floating around the image) is another bad design habit. For separation of floating objects, CSS offers the clear property. A <div style="clear:both" /> should do the trick, independent from the size of the floating object and the font size. This can be placed in a Template:clear-float. --Mardur 08:53, 9 February 2011 (CST)

Just noticed, that such a template already exists: Template:clr --Mardur 09:20, 9 February 2011 (CST)
Indeed it does :) Yeah, some people are not fully aware of wiki structuring and I too in some situations use a <br /> as a normal wiki line break doesn't work in the right situations, however that is more in turn with templating so far. Maygus talk cont 23:26, 9 February 2011 (CST)
