So, what sort of guides should we make?

I just thought I'd start a discussion! The beauty of doing community guides on a wiki is it is quite easy to have a collaborative effort (and via the history button, everyone can have credit as well). So, what sort of guides sound good? Obviously some level and zone guides, class guides, soul guides, etc... Also, I'm not sure if guides really fit into a template so they'd probably have to be more freeform....

A wiki is only as good as its contributors - won't you help out?

  • Class Builds
  • Newbie Leveling Guides
  • Profession Guides

Pretty much anything.

I'll get working on a guide for outfitter and butchering during next beta phase if I can.
At the very least fluff out the list with more details etc.

As for a guide for these should we prefix them or put something on the end?

or

For an SEO point of view, the secondary would probably be a better option I feel. At the very least I'll build it up for the Defiant side of things as that is what I intend to play on release, shouldn't take much to adapt it to a Guardian POV and I'll build it in such a way that it can be done.

Hmm, the latter is probably better in this case I think. No need to go namespace crazy for EVERYthing, and like you said it's probably a bit better for seo!

So should we just make a page for each guide, then link them here so they are up somewhere?

Sure, for now that's good. Also make sure they are in Category:Guides to make them easy to find.

Leveling, dungeon, quest, pvp/warfront, "basics" (How to find x in your interface, etc.), achievement, Soul buid, collections. All I can think of right now. O.o

What would be the best way to "test write" some guides for those of us under NDA?

I've got alot of good Cleric material I'd like to contribute as soon as it gets lifted, and would like it to be well designed before then so I can play launch instead of doing edits

Well you could give us the basic information and someone could spruce it up into a proper guide.

My bro just showed me today up in Overwatch Keep a "puzzle" that required you to click on a series of items to finally arrive at the top of a tower. Once there you got a key that unlocked a chest and ultimately got a blue item that was specific to your class.

He told me that there are possibly more of these types of "puzzles" or awards in the game. If this is true, then a guide listing where to find these rewards would be very helpful.

Re: Guides
I was thinking that it would be worthwhile to do an endgame content prep-guide. Things that people would need to do to prepare to handle Expert Rifts, Raid Rifts, T1 and T2 Expert Dungeons.
