Quest Walkthrough:
There are currently four daily quests available for the players to complete. The easiest of them all is:
Name: Shadows of Regulos
Level: 15
Prerequisite Quests: None
Obtained from: Brother Hyperion/ Niddya Falstone
Quest Giver Located in: Sanctum/Meridian
For this quest players will be enchanted with the buff Shadow Sight. This allows them to see weak spots in the ward in Sanctum/Meridian.
When players see one of these portals, they must use the Sphere of Glimpsing item on it. When they do this, a level 15 Shadow of Regulos will spawn. They are quite easy to kill, even if you are low leveled, due to the ally NPCs that will help you out in Sanctum. Otherwise, if you are high leveled, you will most likely 3-5 shot them.
As I said, this quest is probably the easiest to do, as you only need to repeat this process three times before it can be completed. It shouldn't take you more than five minutes.
Name: Harbinger of Sorrows
Level: 15
Prerequisite Quests: None
Obtained from: Sister Belladonna / Seruldu Elhar
Quest Giver Located in: Sanctum / Meridian
For this quest players must seal three rifts from the Plane of Death. These can be either minor, major, or raid rifts of the death type, however, the rift will only be counted if it still gives experience to the character. IE: The level for the rift must be close to your characters level.
This quest isn't hard, in that it is only closing rifts, however, it can be somewhat time consuming to find death rifts of the appropriate level. I would say that this quest should take you about an hour, at most. Before the latest patch, it would have taken you much longer, however, they increased the frequency of death rifts.
Quest Name: Exorcising Evil
Prerequisite Quests: None
Obtained from: Sister Belladonna / Seruldu Elhar
Quest Giver Located in: Sanctum / Meridian
For this quests players must collect a corrupt essence from “the Harbinger of Alsbeth's death invaders”. What this means, basically, is that players need to kill a death invasion to get the essence.
There doesn't seem to be a distinction between what is a Harbinger of Alsbeth's death invasion and a normal death invasion, so any death invasion will do, as long as it is near your level. Once you obtain the essence from a death invasion, players will need to activate the essence in their inventory. It will summon a monster that is equal to the character's level. Once it is defeated, the quest will be able to be completed.
Quest Name: With Death Denied
Prerequisite Quests: Exorcising Evil
Obtained from: Sister Belladonna / Seruldu Elhar
Quest Giver Located in: Sanctum / Meridian
For this quests players must activate the Death Stone on invaders, and it will destroy that invader after a time of about three seconds. While players must complete Exorcising Evil before they are able to do this quest, once that daily quest has been completed once, they will be able to take this quest each day, whether or not they have completed Exorcising Evil that day already.
It should be noted that the stone can only be used on the weak members of an invasion force and not the strong main monster. In addition, this stone can be used on any type of invasion, so players are not limited to death invasions.
For Part I of the Grim Harvest event, players will also gain Otherworldly Sourcestone by closing death rifts and defeating invasions. In addition, if players look at their Achievements section, they will see that a new tab has been introduced, called Legacy.
As of Phase 1, players can earn the Grim Bounty achievement, for collecting 300 Otherworldly Sourcestone and the Grim Survivor achievement for completing the Exorcising Evil quest. While the Grim Bounty achievement doesn't grant achievement points, or a title, it is needed for the Grim Victory achievement. The Grim Survivor awards players with the prefix “Grim” to use as a title.
