In Rift: Planes of Telara, Roleplaying (RP), means acting out the role of a character in-game. This is often referred to as being 'in character' (IC). Those who RP in the game will often act as though they are the character as opposed to the character simply being a virtual avatar of the person controlling it.

There is a good chance of the game having role-playing servers.^[1]
