Overseer Markus

Overseer Markus is the first boss of Deepstrike Mines. He must be fought on the wooden platform that he patrols on. If you pull him off the platform he will reset. The fight is fairly straight forward.

Tactics

When engaged, the four adds on the same platform as Overseer Markus will also aggro with the boss. The tank must pick them up along with the boss. The rest of the group should position themselves behind the boss as he has a cleave ability and focus on dispatching these adds as they have fairly low health and simply add to the damage the tank is already taking. Overseer Markus himself already hits hard so minimizing incoming damage to the tank by taking out the adds first helps the healer quite a bit.

At 50% health, Overseer Markus will vanish, and 3 adds will spawn on the platform. The tank must pick up the adds and the DPS will take them out. After the three adds are dispatched, Overseer Markus will reappear on the platform. He will start hitting the tank very hard, so it becomes a DPS race to take him down before the healer runs out of mana. If you have an off-healer, they should be prepared to start tossing the tank some healing if things start to go south and the healer can not keep up.
