[edit] Overview
We pride ourselves on being a community guild, building not just our own guild, but alliances and servers as well. Our ranks have meaning, mainly based on group cohesion and defacto power, but also at least one rank dedicated to showing in game skill. Our blu collars (full members) are the players you want to invite to a group before your average pugger. We deal with drama and performance issues quick to minimize both in a way that keeps group cohesion high and invests in our community. Our ranks are accessible to those with the drive and the influence to earn them, but with few exceptions, are bound to a single game; officers are voted in my members for the game in which they are playing and can be demoted through a member initiates process.
While we're a pvp guild first and foremost, we've attracted all kinds of players, even having pve guilds merge with us due to our community and structure. Our tactics aren't always standard, and we love to do things that most people will say just can't be done.
[edit] Recruitment Info
A quick in game interview is all it takes to join as an initiate. Members can sponsor initiates or initiates can seek out classifieds by members looking for specific types of players to promote. Once an initiate has a sponsor, they must fill out an application in order to become a blu collar (our member rank).
Unlike many other guilds, we do accept groups of friends, and have previous experience with guild mergers and acquisitions. For more details, see our guild site's "Socialization" section.
Goals
1. To grow as a multi-gaming guild filled with people who game for fun but can still compete on a semi-hardcore level without having to deal with the egos generally associated with "progression/hardcore" guilds.
2. To build a long standing community in the games we play that stand out as above average, as opposed to guilds who only look to destroy and ditch, claiming victory after boredom settles in.
3. To find tactics, tricks, and psychological maneuvers that others may overlook or underestimate.
News
At less than 5 months old, we WoW Insider's Guild of the Month: http://wow.joystiq.com/2011/03/10/februarys-guild-of-the-month-the-earthbound/
Unlike other guilds, we use Mumble, a superior voice chat system that blows Vent right out of the water. It is the preferred voice chat system of many FPS players due to both its quality and low latency.
