The PirateLords was formed in late 2002 for Star Wars Galaxies from a group of close knit friends. We have since been apart of many games and usually have a guild in more than just one game. The goal of the guild is to do "more with less", and each day we strive to truly deliver on that line of thought through use of tactics, instead of sheer numbers (and non exploiting).
Although we enjoy joking around with each other, raids/pvp/etc are strictly business requiring each person to perform to their utmost abilities.
Many of us have known one another for several years, so being as close as we are with each other brings along with it a strict rule set- One designed to protect our home and our reputation also allowing a fluid and fun experience.

Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Active
- Driven, dedicated and loyal disposition.
- NO Cheaters, Hackers or Botters.
- PVP experience - NO BADDIES!
- Fun loving, easy going, thick skinned individuals - Drama Queen need not apply.
- MUST USE VENTRILO! With a working mic.
Drive, Dedication and Loyalty are the 3 most important qualities found in our members. Our members Drive themselves and each other every day to better themselves and the guild. Whether this be with experience groups together for levels or helping with key situations or quests all of our members are motivated to do what it takes to advance. Grouping and doing things together is always good fun and any can make that happen by applying themselves.
Dedication can be seen throughout The PirateLords as we continue to grow in strength. Doing "more with less" requires each member to be fully committed to the guild and the goals set forth, requiring a strict discipline at times to ensure we are all performing at 110%. The most important observation with this is the willingness of each member to maintain this level of dedication out of pure desire.
Loyalty is the staple of our home. All of the hard work we put in is not only for the overall good of the guild, but also to help each other, our friends and family. There is a strong level of trust held among our members, and that same trust is extended to any new members once they have completed an application process and then the initiation time.
Goals
Any game is a game that we move through at our own pace. We do not let others dictate how or when things should be done. Instead, we prefer to use small numbers where we are required to think outside of the box and challenge ourselves as often as possible. We do not believe in just throwing masses of players at a mob or in many pvp situations and we never will. Doing so would not allow us to call such an encounter a "victory" in good conscience or allow us to maintain an elite skill level of playing. The real pride in our raiding/pvp comes from knowing each member played a key role in letting us defeat encounters that larger guilds may struggle with. (certain exceptions apply to large scale server wide pvp warfare but it is here where our play style will result in an overkill effect).
News
At present our applications are open for our RIFT chapter. We have made an internal decision to what faction we are playing but are waiting to release that information closer to launch.
