Order of the Ascended is a guild that is fun to be in...that gets things done...who's members check the drama at the door...and that is beneficial to be in.

1) It all starts with members- Not just quantity, but quality. We aren't looking for drama queens here. Hopefully, we all get along and enjoy playing the game together...and realize that even though we want to accomplish our goals...this is, after all, a game...nothing more or less than that. Entertainment value is all it really has to offer. If we're not enjoying ourselves, then why pay the $15 per month?
2) Understand our roles- I would like to see each member be totally comfortable and more importantly competent in their respective roles. If you are a tank...know how to tank and set your toon up the very best possible way to do that job, for instance. I know that some of you haven't had a lot of experience with MMORPGs....and that is definitely not an issue, as long as you are willing to learn from those of us who do have some experience in these kinds of games. I think that when you know what the roles are, and how to go about fulfilling that role, the game really comes alive. At least, that's been my experience. I remember the first time I was involved in taking out Cazic Thule in old EverQuest. Here's a God in the game...and we just killed him....there's nothing like that feeling in the gaming world, but the only way it was even possible was the fact that all 120 of us knew what we were doing and we functioned as a well-oiled machine each doing our job. I'll really be getting into "roles" later on...no worries, I promise I won't keep the info from you!
3) Guild Quests- The nice thing about RIFT is that we each can contribute to guild quests just by doing what we do. Sometimes we'll need to get together and finish things up. That's not such a bad thing though...you'll get the opportunity for some great gear that come out of the dungeons.
