Energy

The Energy attribute determines a character's ability to perform special abilities. Only melee characters, i.e. warrior and rogue types, have an energy pool. Spell casters use mana instead of energy.

The amount of energy that a character starts with is determined by the race and calling chosen during character creation.

[edit] Using Energy

Most of a melee character's special abilities require spending energy. The amount needed is always listed in the ability's tooltip or description. Every time a character uses one of these abilities, energy is gained or lost. If a character's energy pool reaches zero, that character will not be able to perform any attacks that require energy.

For example, the Blade Dancer ability Quick Strike requires 15 energy; therefore, every time a Blade Dancer uses Quick Strike, 15 energy drains from the energy pool. If the character has less than 15 energy in her pool, she will not be able to use Quick Strike.

[edit] Regaining Energy

A rogue's energy pool regenerates at the rate of 20 Energy/second during combat.[1] Some class abilities, such as Combat Efficiency, return additional energy or improve energy regeneration.

A character's energy pool resets when combat is finished.
