I don't think the agmruent was ever that some words are inherently good and others bad, but simply that some words are offensive; like he said- a curse is just that, an offensive move, and for it to be offensive does not require for it to be offensive by nature (so yeah words are at best neutral and yeah conotations change over generations) but it is offensive in intent (as yall say) or at least in perception (cuz you don't have to say it with ill intent for someone to still take offense).I'd be offended if someone called me a B, even if they said it without ill will. My mom would be upset if I said something "ticked" me off, and you know I don't mean any harm by that? That's why it IS important to watch your words and to choose them carefully, because (and yeah this IS an assumption) you're not trying to offend anybody in your call to action, your small talk, your whatever or maybe you are. Short and sweet scenarios 1&2&3:1-you're trying to be received without causing anyone in the crowd offense. Chances are (unless you boldly assert that you know the minds of every random person in the crowd) you won't curse.2- you do know all the minds of your audience, and you know that no one will be offended, but you try to follow the ways of the Bible clean speech, good stuff so you still don't say that word which everyone in your audience and America and just the general public knows has a negative connotation3- the only case where you do curse: you don't care who you offend, or you just don't think it through
