We cyclops are not like the two-eyes. We are not from this world. Instead, we were brought here by the sorceror-kings of Eth, who were strong with magic, but weak of ark. Weak masters, and cruel. For their amusement, they made us fight in the pits, and cheered when we died. <...> We killed and died in the arenas of Eth, but when the empire fell, the cyclops became a free people. Yet fighting is in our blood. We keep the old ways to remain strong. If the two-eyes try to cage us again, they will learn of our strength, to their sorrow.
