A band of adventurers stands ready

Character in this context refers to 'Player Character (PCs)', which are the interactive avatars controlled by people playing Rift. Game-controlled characters are referred to as 'Non-Player Characters (NPCs)', or sometimes as 'mobs'.

Characters have the following characteristics:
